All states issue registration for boats. Some states also have a titling procedure for boats that identifies both ownership and lienholders. For example, California issues both a title and a registration. On the other hand, Delaware will issue only a registration, and it is not a “title” state.
We are licensed to access California DMV records to verify vessel ownership, encumbrances, and pertinent vessel details. We have limited access to certain other States as well. We can expeditiously perform title searches for you.
We provide a convenient and cost-effective service for vessel owners who do not have time to stand in line at the DMV. If a vessel does not qualify for vessel documentation, each state offers a form of titling and/or registration. Dinghies are the most common vessels requiring state registration, a fact that is often overlooked during the vessel purchase process.
We maintain a special license with the California DMV to perform title searches, issue registration numbers on site, and we make a personal appearance at the DMV with a standing weekly appointment. We also have working relationships with registration agencies in Arizona and Delaware.
